Lo primero de todo presentarme:

¡Hola, encantada! Soy Karla Martin de la marca de joyas Karla Martin o KM.

Yo soy la que está detrás de todo lo que tiene que ver con esta marquita de joyas. Diseñadora, productora de las joyas, encargada de las rrs, web, atención a cliente…es decir todo.

Siempre he sido una niña muy manitas me encantaba hacer pulseras lo típico a esas de edades (entre 8 y 10 años), es más, iba a clases de Swarovski en las que me enseñaban a montar anillos y ¨coserlos¨ lo que disfrutaba muchísimo.

Cuando terminé de estudiar la enseñanza obligatoria me metí a un grado medio de joyería. Estuve dos años estudiando y tres meses de prácticas. En estas prácticas fue cuando me di cuenta de que me quería dedicar el resto de mi vida hacer joyas con mis manos.

Karla Martin Joyas empezó un verano. Yo me quería comprar una mesa de joyería para poder empezar mi sueño. Pero claro en este camino no quería que nadie me ayudase, quería que todo lo que iba a montar fuera solamente mío y conseguido por mí. Ese verano me apunté a un mercado artesanal de mi pueblo donde vendí bisutería montada por mí. Saque dinero suficiente para comprarmé una mesa, soplete, limas y poco más. Me diseñe un logo, abrí cuenta en instagram y facebook. Pero hasta el año siguiente en 2016 no fue cuando ya me puse en serio con mi marca.

Yo siempre he sido una chica que vestía de básicos (y lo sigo siendo) mi estilo es atemporal, elegante y nada rococó. Nunca llevaba anillos ni colgantes, sólo pendientes, que era lo único que no me daba alergia (si eran de oro). Todo lo demás me produce alergia. Todo lo que me vendían pretendiendo ser plata de ley, no lo era. Así que me puse manos a la obra y empecé haciendo colgantes y pendientes para mi utilizando mi gusto y mi criterio. No sabía por dónde llevar mi marca ni qué hacer ni que vender para que a la gente le gustara y comprara. Empecé enseñándoselo a mi familia y amigas. Y el resultado gustó bastante con lo que también empecé a subirlo en Instagram y Facebook. Me iban llegando algunos pedidos pero a mi ya me parecía una maravilla que a alguien le gustara lo que yo hacía. Al año siguiente abrí esta página web (www.joyaskm.com). Me empezaron a llegar pedidos personalizados como alianzas. Así que eso es lo que veréis aquí el proceso de cada joya Karla Martin de las próximas colecciones, el resultado y lo que me inspira cada día para seguir persiguiendo mi sueño.

Let me introduce my self.My name is Karla Martin and i am behind the brand  Karla Marin Jewels also known as KM.

I take care of almost every process such as design, production, social media marketing and sales.

I have always loved  creating things with my own hands. I started quite early making bracelets and around age 10 i was already taking Swarovski clases where I was tought  the art of ring sewing. I enjoyed it very much.

A few years later I took a jewelery mid grade which took 2 years  and a three month intership. During this intership I helped in the production process for renown brands such as Cartier and Bulgary. This period helped me realise I wanted to dedicate my life to handcrafting my own line of jewels.

KM jewels started during a hot summer in Extremadura. I needed a jewelery  workset and table to get my dream started. I did not want anybody to help me out. I felt i needed to achieve every step by my self. I went on and signed up for a craft market where I sold enogh to buy myself a.

I designed a logo and opened Instagram and Facebook pages. It was not untill th efollowing year (2016) when I started dedicating serious effort to KM.

My style has always been quite basic but elegant never too presumptuous. I never wore rings nor pendants only earrings beacause the rest gave me alergic reactions. Most of what i bought was sold pretending to be silver but really was not. Having this in mind I started making my own pieces to wear using my own taste and criteria.I did not know what direction to take or what to do ind order for my brand to reach out to my target market. I begun showing my family and firends and they quite loved it. Right after I begun uploading pictures on social media and I started getting some orders. At that moment I was thrilled with the mere fact that someone out of my circle could appreciate my products enough to buy them.

Next year (2017) i lounched my web site www.joyaskm.com and requests for customized jewels such as wedding rings begun to arrive.So here you will find every process and the inspiration that converge to give birth to my jewels in trying to fulfill my dream.Once more welcome and I hope you enjoy my blog as much as I do my work.
